I offer two options: a group class at the Ottawa Birth and Wellness Centre, or a private class in the comfort of your own home.

Are you currently pregnant and hoping to breastfeed?
Research shows that one of the best ways you can ensure successful breastfeeding is by taking a breastfeeding education class before the birth of your baby. 
Both the group and private class covers:

  • What to expect in the first weeks & how to tell if your baby is getting enough

  • How to hand express colostrum, your baby’s first milk

  • Safe handling and storage of pumped breastmilk

  • Troubleshooting tips and when to get extra help

Facilitator Expertise 
As a former midwife turned International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), I have helped hundreds of families meet their infant feeding goals.

Private lessons in your home

There's no place like home! All of the same course material listed above is covered, plus ample time for your questions and demonstrating hand-expression techniques, should you desire. Participants are given a supply kit for hand-expressing colostrum,  your baby's first milk.
